CNA assisting DoD in protecting intellectual property, technological advancements


TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation Assurance, a subsidiary of Cherokee Nation Businesses, has partnered with the United States Department of Defense. CNA is providing support services and subject matter experts to assist the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command’s Office of Research and Technology Applications in its effort to analyze technology transfers, protect intellectual property and enable product development.

Transferring technology-related information safely and securely is a high priority for all DOD programs. Through the new contract, Cherokee Nation Assurance is using scientific and engineering technical skills to deliver research, development and marketing plans for U.S. Army Medical Command inventions.

CNA has the potential to earn nearly $3 million through the USAMRMC award. The technology-focused project could continue for up to five years.

The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command’s ORTA is responsible for technology transfers involving a broad range of technologies and organizations within the U.S. Army Medical Command. These technologies reflect the MEDCOM mission and include medical research, development and acquisition, as well as medical logistics, for the U.S. Army.

Cherokee Nation Assurance delivers a broad spectrum of professional management consulting services to its defense, health, environmental and civilian agency clients.
