TULSA, Okla. – Cherokee Nation Healthcare Services recently received the award of contract HT0015-18-C-0005 with the U.S. Department of Defense’s DHA to provide Standard Table Support throughout the agency’s Military Heath System.
During the five-year contract, the tribally owned company is performing quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy of data table updates and supporting systems and interfaces currently interacting with the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application and the Composite Health Care System, one of the largest medical information systems worldwide.
“We are fortunate to have a very talented team with decades of proven success in providing excellent Standard Tables Support,” said Sy Simmons, operations general manager for CNHS. “Combining health analytics with our team’s expertise will help the DHA improve accuracy and compliancy while reducing errors that could impact patient safety for years to come.”
Standard Tables Support includes health analytics workflow processes used to mitigate risks and gauge impact of code set release to both direct care and purchased care systems. CNHS’ solutions will better inform senior MHS personnel while also supporting post-decision monitoring and its effects.
CNHS, a subsidiary of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is maintaining each code set applied within numerous systems, including the previously mentioned CHCS and AHLTA, as well as the Coding and Compliance Editor and Armed Forces Billing and Collection Utilization Solution. The tribal company may also support MHS GENESIS, a new electronic health record that provides enhanced secure technology to manage health information as well as other related systems in the future.
Cherokee Nation Healthcare Services identifies and implements innovative solutions to improve medical readiness, access to care and operational efficiency for both government and commercial clients.
